Steven "Goldie" Goldstein

Steve Goldstein is a sports broadcasting veteran nationally and in the South Florida market. Goldstein is the longtime hockey voice of the NHL’s Florida Panthers. With the team since 1997, he’s in his 12th season as TV play-by-play announcer on Fox Sports Florida.

In addition, Steve is a play by play announcer for NBC/Westwood One NHL Radio and serves as a rinkside reporter and hosts the Stanley Cup final.

He contributes to the radio coverage of the Triple Crown as a reporter for the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes. Internationally, Steve is a voice of US Open Tennis TV coverage, providing play by play for World Broadcasts and ESPN/DirecTV feeds. Steve also anchors news and sports on CBS TV Miami and hosts “Goldieonice Podcast” coverings the Panthers and NHL.

Steve served as host of the 2016 Stanley cup final and had the Honor of being the Radio Voice for the 2010 Team USA Olympic Hockey in Vancouver and the 2014 Winter Olympics play by play radio host.

Goldstein has extensive Winter Olympics experience, working for CBS Radio/Westwood One as the play-by-play voice for Olympic hockey at the 2010 games in Vancouver and the 2014 Sochi Games. He hosted the network’s 1998 hockey coverage in Nagano, Japan and was a producer for the ’94 Lillehammer games. Prior to taking over the Panthers TV job, Steve was the radio play by play announcer. He also hosted the pre and post game radio shows for the Panthers, Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes.

Goldstein has hosted Panthers and Dolphins weekly TV programs and morning drive radio on WQAM and WINZ radio in Miami. He’s hosted various radio shows in South Florida and nationally for more than 25 years, including NFL shows for CBS Radio/Westwood One network. Steve is from Brooklyn, NY, and attended Syracuse University, graduating from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He resides in Florida with his wife Dana and boys Jake and Kyle.
